About Us

Alicia Salinas

“Every student is unique, and as a tutor I’m able to tailor my lessons to each student’s strengths and weaknesses. In addition to the knowledge and performance principles I share with my students, I enjoy helping my students learn to enjoy the process of learning itself as I continue to apply these principles in my own educational journey.”

“I love the one-on-one connection I develop with my students and appreciate seeing their progress each week. My experience with refugee students at the International Institute of St. Louis challenged me to develop better communication skills, as many students did not speak English as a first language. As a Teaching Assistant for a college Biology Lab course, I enjoyed working with students in the lab and outside during office hours to help them better understand the principles of biology. I am excited to continue helping students find what they are passionate about in the classroom “
